The Racor racks were sold between April 2013 and June 2019 through various retailers and distributors. The racks were also sold through the company’s website. These racks pose a potential hazard because the support arms may break, causing the rack to collapse. This poses a risk of serious injury or death if someone is standing beneath the rack when it collapses.

The CPSC has received 13 reports of the racks breaking, with one person sustaining a broken foot. If you own an overhead garage storage rack that has been recalled, you should stop using it immediately and contact Racor for a free repair kit. If you don’t have a repair kit, you should contact Racor to request one. In addition to this recall, the CPSC has recalled several other overhead garage storage racks over the years.
